Wow...I can't believe this is being asked like...all the time. When will people learn that managing this HUGE database is tough work and without daily maintenace, EVE would go black hole.
Answer: WoW, for instance, has a maximum of 1500-ish players on simultaneously on one shard. About a total of 3000-5000 accounts total. EVE has about 270 000 accounts total with over 50 000 simultaneous users, all accessing the database millions of times per day. Tell me the database that can handle that without maintenance (and without costing money the size of a countries total budget). ----- Why doesn't anyone ever read the forums before posting? I'm still waiting for someone to complain they forgot to set their skill queue and is currently loosing precious training time.
...and that they want the skill training reimbursed because the game did not remind them to set a skill. ^^
